Overview
The Clinical Lead Community Dental Service is a managerial & clinical role. Primarily it involves managing the team & delivering a combination of special care & paediatric dentistry for referred patients, many of whom have additional & complex needs.
Responsibilities
 * Manage the team and support clinical colleagues working alongside you.
 * Provide high quality dental care to special care adults & children with complex additional needs and/or disabilities.
 * Assist medically compromised patients who require treatment in a community dental service setting.
 * Support anxious children for routine exodontia.
 * Deliver care directly to patients in their own homes, nursing, and care settings during domiciliary care.
 * Contribute to the planning & development of the service and of colleagues.
 * Monitor performance & activity alongside the Clinical Service Manager and Operational Manager.
Qualifications
 * Postgraduate dental qualification and/or relevant experience in Special Care or Paediatric Dentistry.
 * Advanced knowledge, clinical skills & expertise demonstrated in the field.
Requirements
 * Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (cost payable by the successful candidate).
Salary & Benefits
£97,769 to £112,360 a year per annum (dependant on experience).
NHS Medical and Dental salaries are set at a national level. For new starters not already working under UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service will be appointed to the minimum paypoint. Salary increases are based on evidence of relevant, completed years’ experience. The evidence required to increase a starting salary would be payslips and details noted in the application form i.e. complete employment history.
