South Gwynedd Community Mental Health Team – Ysbyty Alltwen Tremadog
Job Overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person to provide admin support based at the Mental Health Department, Ysbyty Alltwen Tremadog. Successful candidate must have good standard of education, excellent communication skills, able to work efficiently using own initiative and organised with own workload. The post holder is expected to undertake a variety of duties within the role.
Good telephone manner essential. Must demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner maintaining confidentiality at all times. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Main Duties
* Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Professional members of the South Gwynedd Community Mental Health Team.
* Process new referrals, type and send out appointment letters.
* Reception duties including answering incoming telephone calls to the Team and welcoming patients/carers/relatives/other professionals/visitors at the department reception area.
* Take minutes of regular Mental Health Team meetings.

Person Specification
* Good standard of education – GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
* NVQ Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent knowledge & experience, or willing to work towards.
* RSA /OCR Level 2 or equivalent experience.
Essential Criteria
* Ability to speak Welsh.
* Ability to speak English.
* Excellent keyboard skills.
* Experience of Microsoft Office.
Desirable Criteria
* NVQ Customer Service Level 3.
* Medical terminology.
