Quantity Surveyor Later Living Developer Based: Oxford Area Permanent: Up to £70,000 Package We are currently searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of the busiest Later Living Developers in the Northern and Southern Home Counties. Due to a very healthy pipeline of new projects coming online this year, they are keen to bolster their commercial team and bring in some new talent. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be commercially responsible for projects from inception to completion, with support from a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The Role: Managing project costs from feasibility through to final account, ensuring schemes remain within approved budgets Preparing and maintaining cost plans, cash flows and financial reports for senior stakeholders Procuring and managing consultant and contractor packages, including tendering, negotiation and appointment Valuing works and assessing payment applications, variations and change control Monitoring risk, value engineering and cost mitigation, particularly across design development stages Administering contracts, ensuring compliance with employer requirements and funding conditions Final account negotiation and settlement with contractors and supply chain Supporting development viability, including benchmarking, lifecycle costs and value-for-money decisions Experience Required: 3 Years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor (any level) with a residential main contractor or developer Degree qualified in Quantity Surveyor or a similar recognised qualification Keen to progress into a senior role in due course and develop themselves professionally.
