Description
The BOM Coordinator role is responsible for overseeing the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of the Bill of Materials for our engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to gather necessary information for the BOM.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation related to the BOM, including updates, changes, and version control.
* Conduct regular audits of BOM data to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors, and collaborate with relevant teams to address and rectify issues.
* Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure smooth communication and understanding of BOM requirements and updates.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement within the BOM management system and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience as a BOM Coordinator or in a similar role within an engineering manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in BOM software and MS Office suite, 3Dx PLM is advantageous.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
* Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
* Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external clients.
* Must be a team player.
