Overview
Applications are invited for a Band 5 permanent position on CYPAU/Dahlia. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, and has experience of taking charge on shift of the ward, an ability to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and a positive attitude to service developments.
Our children’s nursing team is expanding, and is led by our Director of Nursing for Child Health, a Trust wide role to ensure children and young people receive high quality care wherever they access services across our organisation. We provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs; most of our 7,800 permanent staff live in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. We operate from two main sites — King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford — and offer a range of services across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
* The post holder is responsible for assessment of care needs of patients, planning programmes of care, implementation and evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.
* Assist with education and supervision of learners.
* Occasionally in-charge of the ward/shift and supervise and co-ordinate other staff as appropriate; contribute to professional development of self and others.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience of taking charge on shift of the ward.
* Ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team and a positive attitude to service developments.
