Job Role
The Management Accountant plays a vital role in preparing accurate and timely management accounts and supporting financial operations within the Group. You will collaborate with other finance team members, contribute to budget preparation, support audits, and assist in process improvement initiatives. A strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and ERP systems is crucial.
The role suits a proactive, hands-on individual with a passion for continuous improvement, and an ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts for Group companies
* Maintain robust supporting schedules for all account balances
* Assist in the preparation of monthly Board Packs
* Support the day-to-day management of the invoice discounting facility
* Contribute to the annual budgeting process and half-year forecasts
* Prepare for and support external audits, liaising directly with auditors
* Ensure financial controls and procedures are maintained and adhered to
* Produce ad-hoc financial reports and undertake project work
* Provide cover for other members of the Management Accounting team
* Drive improvements in processes, reporting, and system use
What We Need You to Have
* Newly Qualified/Qualified accountant with several years' experience
* Strong Excel and ERP system skills
* Personable and approachable, with excellent communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
* A meticulous approach with strong attention to detail
* A proactive, flexible attitude with the ability to work under pressure
* Experience with stock/warehousing and trading company environments (desirable)
* Knowledge of NetSuite and international operations (desirable)
* Manufacturing sector experience (desirable)

* Full-time, permanent role
* 37-hour working week
o 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday
o 08:30 - 16:30 Friday
o 1-hour lunch break
