CAD Technician
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Up to £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Aztrum is working with a growing engineering and built environment consultancy based in Cardiff, supporting projects across a range of infrastructure, civil engineering, and building sectors. Due to continued workload and team expansion, they are now looking to appoint a CAD Technician at a junior to intermediate level to support their technical delivery teams.
This role would suit a CAD Technician looking to develop their career within a consultancy environment, gaining exposure to live projects and working alongside experienced engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities – CAD Technician
* Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support civil, structural, and infrastructure projects
* Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, layouts, and construction information
* Work closely with Engineers and Senior Technicians to develop coordinated design outputs
* Update and amend drawings in line with design changes and project requirements
* Support the production of BIM models where required
* Ensure drawings are produced in line with company CAD standards and procedures
Requirements – CAD Technician
* Experience working as a CAD Technician within an engineering or construction environment
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD (essential)
* Exposure to Revit, Civil 3D, or BIM workflows is advantageous but not essential
* Good understanding of technical drawings and construction documentation
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
