Our patient support team are the first point of contact withall of our patients whether over the phone, face-to-face or online. They arethe welcoming face of the practice with a smile and a can-do attitude. Theyknow and understand our practice, community and local services in detail andreally care about our patients.

What will you do?

It is a busy practice and you will be helping people who maybe anxious, unwell or who just want a chat.

You will deal with patient queries from bookingappointments to solving problems - face to face, over the phone oronline; produce prescriptions, update our clinical system and use it safely tosupport patient care, deal with confidential communication & support the clinical team with any queries orproblems.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is warm, friendly andapproachable. You will love working with people in a fast-moving environment.It is never boring!

Ideally we are looking for people to work Mon-Fri to cover the later half of the day. Our day ends at 18:15 and the start time will be agreed depending on the total contracted weekly hours.

We have part-time and full-time roles available.

About us

We are a new business emerging from two small practicescoming together to provide our patients with continuity of care, building onour combined strengths. We are bringing together two great teams of people whohave a deep-seated commitment to our patients, firmly believing in theprinciple that Small is Still Beautiful when it comes to our direct patientcare. Behind the scenes, our larger scale will help deliver continuity of carewhilst minimising duplication. We have big dreams and we are looking for peoplewho want to join us to make a difference.


Job responsibilities

What will you do?

It is a busy practice and you will be helping people who maybe anxious, unwell or who just want a chat.

You will:

Deal with patient queries from bookingappointments to solving problems, whether face to face, over the phone oronline.

Produce prescriptions and deal with letters intothe practice.

Update our clinical system and use it safely tosupport patient care, dealing with confidential communication, both written andelectronically.

Support the clinical team with any queries orproblems.

Open & close the building.

Be available to help out or cover for colleaguesduring absence.

And whatever else may crop up that is reasonableto expect from the team!


Person Specification


Experience

* Able to connect and communicate with people
* Use IT efficiently & effectively
* Understanding of confidentiality and discretion
* Sensitive to working with people who may be anxious, stressed, unwell or just need a friendly ear.
* Previous experience of general practice and/or S1, while helpful, is not essential. We are looking for skills rather than knowledge.


Qualifications

* GCSE or O Level grade A-C in English and Maths
