Job Overview
You will support and deputise for the Clinical Group Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
* Effective leadership and supporting managerial responsibility for the Clinical Group, developing a culture that ensures safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient/client care.
* Responsibility for the delivery of the Clinical Group’s operational and performance targets and achievement of local and national standards.
* The post holder will work closely with Executive Directors and other Clinical Group teams to ensure optimum performance, service integration and the development of the local health economy.
* Responsible and accountable for the delivery of all clinical and technical services within the Clinical Group, ensuring compliance with national and organisational standards including Care Quality Commission, NHSLA and Department of Health guidance.
* Provide leadership to the Clinical Group triumvirate and operational teams, overseeing day‑to‑day management while empowering staff to deliver high quality, patient‑centred care.
* Support the achievement of organisational and Clinical Group strategic objectives by providing clear operational direction, ensuring services meet national and local performance standards and agreed targets.
* Contribute to financial performance through effective budget management, delivery of activity within available resources and implementation of cost improvement plans.
* Establish and maintain robust governance, performance monitoring and risk management systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient services; use complex data and benchmarking information to inform decision‑making, service improvement and redesign.
* Build strong collaborative relationships across the organisation and with external partners including Integrated Care Boards, local authorities and other stakeholders.
* Represent the Clinical Group in relevant forums and support effective staff engagement, communication and partnership working to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
