About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead a busy freight operations department.
You will manage and develop a dedicated Operations team, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement across the wider operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
* Oversee all aspects of import and export freight operations (FCL and LCL).
* Resolve operational challenges proactively, identifying practical and cost-effective solutions.
* Take a hands-on approach to problem-solving, supporting the team with complex shipments or client queries.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 5 years' freight forwarding experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
* A strong Seafreight operations background (Working for a freight forwarder).
* Strong Knowledge of LCL, FCL Shipments
* Strong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS in the UK.
