Frontline Technician

We currently have a vacancy for a motivated, self-starter to join the Frontline Vehicle Technician team. The position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some weekend cover as part of a weekend call-out rota. Flexibility during the week is essential to support customers within your designated areas.
The primary role involves working as part of a small team to provide excellent Volvo Frontline Support to our customers, primarily on Truck, Bus, Coach, and other Commercial Vehicles. When frontline work is unavailable, you will return to one of the depots to perform maintenance and repair activities, diagnose faults, conduct vehicle tests, and carry out complete repairs.
Additional duties include:
1. Completing paperwork related to warranty, contract, and retail work.
2. Performing preventative maintenance to reduce unnecessary customer costs.
3. Other duties within your capabilities.
Qualifications, skills, and experience required:
1. City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
2. Experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.
3. Organized, methodical problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
4. Manufacturer training and up-to-date knowledge of work methods and technical data.
5. Full UK driving license; an HGV license is advantageous.
6. Friendly, confident, professional manner with excellent communication skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and independently or as part of a team.
8. Efficient job card documentation skills.
A company van will be provided for frontline duties.
