Working closely with a lovely Financial Controller and joining a supportive, flexible and friendly team, the role of the Finance Manager is to manage internal & external reporting, manage the audit process, line manage a small team and ensure that all core finance activities are done accurately and timely. It's a core finance focused role but will give the successful candidate the opportunity to partner the wider business and have some exposure to budgeting & forecasting whilst partnering senior stakeholders, making it an ideal position for a strong Financial or Management Accountant to progress their career. Those looking to make their first move from practice can also be considered as this would be a great first step into industry! The salary on offer is up to £62,000 great benefits. Hybrid working is supported with further flexibility too (making it great for school runs or outside of work commitments!). Responsibilities: Manage the core finance team to ensure that data is maintained to fulfil reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with processes and controls Oversee the monthly management accounts process and financial statements plus consolidation and presentation to the Financial Controller Ensure reconciliation of the balance sheet Detailed monthly payroll review VAT returns Be responsible for the administration of the budgeting & forecasting - consolidate first reviews Co-ordinate all relevant inputs to the monthly sales invoicing Manage relationships with external auditors ensuring completion of the statutory audit Manage team performance - monitoring progress, sharing feedback, addressing skills gaps and managing absence through development and coaching to bring the best out of the team Build effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders About You: Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) Prior management or supervisory experience Have a keen eye for process improvement Team player with a desire to develop others For more information, please call Paige on 01179 935 445.
