Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Monitor and document residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to senior staff.
* Foster a warm and supportive atmosphere that promotes dignity and respect for all residents.
* Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance as needed to ensure high standards of care.
* Maintain accurate records using IT systems for documentation purposes.
* Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional wellbeing.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience or leadership skills within a healthcare context is advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
* Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial, along with basic IT proficiency for record keeping.
