About the role
Do you have specialist knowledge of SystmOne (and other related systems) maintenance, design, development and delivery? Are you looking for a new challenge, playing a pivotal role in the development of SystmOne functionality and optimising its use for the benefit of Adult Community Services?
The role of SystmOne Support Officer is an exiting opportunity to play a key role in the improvement of our digital systems to ensure that our services can record high-quality data with ease, giving the division greater opportunities for data-driven service improvement.
The role will provide essential support to the divisions SystmOne Change Control Process, ensuring colleagues within the division and wider Trust, including peers within the Corporate Digital Systems Team, understand system changes and that clinicians have the necessary knowledge and skill to embed change within their own practice.
Main duties
* Management of incoming SystmOne change requests, resolving and escalating as appropriate.
* Leading and supporting the development of the divisions clinical systems that include, but may not be limited, to SystmOne.
* Assess training requirements for system changes, including the preparation and management of support documentation.
* Provide specialist support and advice on change project specification, requirements, implementation and roll out across the division.
* Responsibility for data integrity, ensuring that digital systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
* Identification and resolution of of technical problems and faults.
* Investigate potential solutions to system problems, making recommendations for consideration across the division.
* Test all proposed system changes in a test environment to ensure they will be successful prior to release in a live environment.
* Provide regular update reports to the SystmOne Improvement Group to support the planning of digital workstreams and projects that are part of the divisions digital portfolio.
* Provide training to staff on the use of digital systems, both on and off site.
Essential person specification requirements
Qualifications:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Experience:
* Significant experience of the use and configuration of Clinical Systems, in particular SystmOne, within specialist Service Areas.
* Demonstrable experience of providing training, advice and support to end users, analysing problems and providing solutions in Clinical Systems.
* Experience of working both independently and in a team orientated collaborative environment.
Knowledge/Awareness:
* Highly computer literate.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
* Ability to work with sensitive information in line with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott principals and approach issues diplomatically.
* Ability to work autonomously and use initiative and judgement in decision making.
* Knowledge of Information Standard Notices, NHS Performance Indicators and NHS Datasets.
Skills and Abilities:
* High levels of concentration where work patterns can be unpredictable.
* Ability to learn and develop skills further.
* Troubleshooting.
* Ability to prioritise workload.
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills including customer service experience.
