608 Vets is recruiting a professional Client Care Advisor for a permanent position.
Our client care team forms the first point of contact for our clients, both existing and new. They represent the business in a professional and enthusiastic manner, instilling confidence in our award‑winning care. It is not always about knowing the answer; it is about finding the answer and following through with a resolution for every enquiry.
Front‑of‑house team members handle a wide spectrum of queries, from routine to bizarre. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, think outside the box, and operate within the rules set by governing bodies such as the Royal College of Veterinary Standards.
Responsibilities
* Meeting and greeting clients in a professional, yet sensitive manner
* Answering the telephone, handling queries, transferring calls, and taking messages where applicable
* Liaising with vets and accurately recording details
* Updating the in‑house notes system clearly and accurately
* Coordinating appointments with animal owners
* Discussing finances and pet insurance details
* Processing card and cash payments
* Accurately carrying out departmental filing

From routine administration to sensitive conversations, proficiency in face‑to‑face, telephone, and written communication is key. The team values people‑orientation, a love of animals, and the ability to adapt communication styles to suit diverse recipients.
Veterinary industry experience is not essential; however, a steep learning curve will be a definite bonus. Valuable experience may also come from customer service roles or administrative positions in the healthcare sector.
Other skills and characteristics that will help success include computer literacy, patience, multi‑tasking, and proactivity.
