Principal Electrical Design Engineer
Take ownership of complex electrical systems and shape solutions across major defence programmes. Develop your skills while contributing to critical, high-availability systems.
What you will need
• Proven experience in electrical design engineering
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in electrical systems
Salary and rewards
£56,000 to £70,000, with career development, training and mentoring opportunities
What you will be doing
• Lead design and development of electrical panels, enclosures and cabinet layouts
• Produce and maintain schematics, technical documentation and Bills of Materials
• Resolve electrical issues across design, manufacture, integration and qualification stages
• Apply electrical standards and ensure compliance with Defence Standards
Your experience
• Experience in electrical design engineering roles
• Knowledge of maritime or defence platforms desirable
• Familiarity with CAD tools for electrical design
• Ability to work effectively in complex, fast-moving environments
