Northern Regional College is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Finance, Governance & Risk team at our Ballymena campus. This is a key role managing accounts receivable, credit control, cashier functions, and financial system interfaces across the College.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage accounts receivable, credit control, and cashier functions across the College.
* Oversee EBS interface reconciliations, correcting errors and ensuring accurate reporting.
* Support the College Accountant with month-end and year-end processes, statutory returns, and financial system development.
* Prepare VAT returns, control account reconciliations, journals, and budget reports.
* Lead on governance, risk, and compliance tasks including audit support.
* Line manage the Accounts Receivable Officer and Cashier, ensuring effective workflows and consistent standards across campuses.
* Engage with external auditors, stakeholders, and the Department for the Economy as required.
Essential Criteria
* Full membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent,
or
a degree in Accountancy/Finance.
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (A–C or equivalent).
* At least 3 years' finance experience (including 1 year post-qualification).
* At least 2 years' experience in a General Ledger or Accounts Receivable function.
Desirable Criteria
* Membership of a recognised accountancy body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAS).
* Experience working in a public sector finance environment.
* Previous management of an Accounts Receivable function.
* Experience using Agresso or a similar financial system.
