Location: Superdrug Distribution Centre, Dunstable

Hours: 40 per week

Salary: £33,500 per annum plus bonus & benefits


About the role

The DC Communications Executive supports key internal stakeholders to deliver all distribution and transport messaging. Working at a strategic level, the role involves supporting internal departments to drive engagement of our teams across all aspects of our Distribution Centres. A key part of this role is to oversee communications across all internal channels, including an internal communications platform as well as the organisation and execution of in‑house events designed to increase team engagement across all departments. The role will manage a calendar of communications across two distribution locations that aligns with the Superdrug internal communications strategy.


Typical day

* Work as part of the Internal Communications team to maintain a rolling calendar of activity across internal channels that aligns with our employer brand and wider business strategies, creating a sense of belonging, purpose and leaving team members feeling informed and included.
* Own all distribution and transport specific communications plans and manage communications mapping across the distribution centres, including operational communications such as health and safety messaging.
* Work with key stakeholders including the Supply Chain Director, Heads of Departments, wider operational managers and onsite people teams to cascade information within the distribution and transport teams.
* Build relationships across all departments to stay close to their communications priorities, acting as an expert when they need to push messages out to specific audiences.
* Support the people team with DEI calendar execution at distribution centres.
* Partner with our corporate charity partner to engage team members in fundraising and understanding impact.Report on and analyse internal communications to share updates with key stakeholders, measuring impact of all activity delivered.
* Manage the internal communications platform for all relevant departments, including administration and reporting.
* Work with the wider internal communications team to create digital content for relevant channels, manage internal media screens across distribution centres.
* Act as a brand guardian for all communications created, including tone of voice.

Requirements

* You understand the core principles of internal communications and why this is important to our business.
* You enjoy working to deliver a strategy and understand how to measure its success.
* You have experience working with digital platforms including Canva, SharePoint and systems similar to Facebook.
* You’re able to film and edit content to a basic to intermediary level including videos, sound clips and social media assets.
* You’re able to adapt your approach and flex your plans based on the needs of the business.
* You have the ability to work across multiple brands and understand multiple facets of tone and branding.
* You’re organised and able to manage competing priorities and project work.
