We're looking for an experienced General Manager to join a busy manufacturing company and take full ownership of office operations. This is a newly-created, varied, hands-on role where you'll manage people, streamline processes, and work closely with production, planning, customer service and admin teams to keep everything running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the leader for change at a time where an organisational restructure will allow you to shape the office environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of the office
* Managing and supporting Customer Service, Admin, Purchasing and Planning teams
* Working with internal stakeholders to maintain smooth communication and accurate production planning
* Leading several teams and being responsible for their efficiency and performance
* Using Sage Manufacturing to monitor stock, materials, and production schedules
* Reviewing the creation and implementation of production plans
* Making the tough decisions to impact each team's performance
* Leading by example and supporting your team's development
* Reporting to the senior leadership team on your departments performance and leading projects to implement new ideas
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience as an Operations Manager, General Manager or Planning Manager in a manufacturing environment
* Confident using Sage Manufacturing
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Able to work independently with full autonomy
* Great people management and communication skills
* A proactive approach with a mindset to streamline and improve
