As a key figure in their Regulatory Services Directorate, you will manage the delivery of critical statutory functions, including air quality monitoring, pollution control, and statutory nuisance investigations.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Protection Team, ensuring alignment with council policies and prioritiesLead on high-impact services, such as regulating industrial pollution, managing private water supplies, and contributing to planning and licensing processesDrive performance excellence through effective people management and service optimizationRepresent the council at senior-level meetings and public engagements, providing expert advice and leadershipWhat We’re Looking For:A qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHRB registered) with substantial experience in environmental protectionProven ability to manage teams, budgets, and resources effectivelyStrong leadership skills to inspire a high-performing, customer-focused teamExcellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutionsYou will also be responsible for the efficient execution of the range of duties and commensurate with the professional competence of a qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHRB registered).If you have the above experience, then we would love to hear from you.
