Location: Office-based, in Milton Keynes Contract: Full-time, Permanent Number of vacancies: 1 Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 Role Overview: We are looking for a Purchasing Analyst to join our ecommerce buying team, supporting purchasing decisions across multiple channels, including Amazon and other ecommerce platforms. This role focuses on analysis, reporting, and performance review, working closely with buyers, logistics, and operations teams to provide visibility, identify risks, and improve purchasing and supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities Buying Team Support & Analysis Partner with buyers to review purchasing performance, supplier activity, and PO status Analyse stock levels, sell-through, lead times, and reorder cycles to support buying decisions Identify risks such as potential stock-outs, overbuying, or delayed purchase orders PO & Critical Path Visibility Review and track purchase order data across the critical path, from supplier confirmation through delivery Analyse delays, variances, and recurring issues across suppliers and logistics partners Provide insights and recommendations to buyers and stakeholders (without owning day-to-day PO execution) Reporting & Insights Create and maintain purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance reports Analyse trends and highlight pain points across buying, logistics, and fulfilment Turn data into clear, actionable insights to support planning and decision-making Operational Excellence Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities within purchasing and supply chain workflows Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance tracking Help define, track, and improve KPIs related to purchasing and inventory health Required Skills & Experience Experience in purchasing analysis, supply chain analytics, buying support, or ecommerce operations Strong understanding of purchase orders, supplier lead times, and inventory fundamentals Experience working in ecommerce or retail environments (Amazon and multi-channel experience preferred) Strong analytical skills using Excel or Google Sheets (advanced level preferred) Ability to communicate insights clearly to buyers and cross-functional teams Nice to Have Experience supporting buyers in fast-paced ecommerce environments Familiarity with FBA, 3PLs, freight, or warehouse operations Experience with dashboards or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) Understanding of operational excellence or continuous improvement practices What Success Looks Like Buyers have clear visibility into PO status, risks, and performance Purchasing decisions are supported by accurate, timely analysis Reduced stock-outs, overbuying, and supply chain surprises Continuous improvements in purchasing efficiency driven by data Benefits: Casual dress On-site parking Regular social events including summer & end of year parties.
