ABOUT THE ROLE
My client are now looking for a general foreman to support the project manager on a project at Leeds/Bradford airport. You will be looking after drainage packages and will be running a team aswell.
The successful candidate will need to construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified time frame with correctly allocated resources. You’re going to need to optimise outputs and reduce the need for overtime working to allow all colleagues to keep a good working pattern throughout the week. If you’re selected you would also be involved in reading, understanding and explaining drawing specifications. It’s important to note that you’ll also need to ensure safety compliances and promote safe working practices. As the potential new general foreman you’ll be in charge of monitoring construction activity on site and make sure that they meet up to the quality standards put in place.
REQUIREMENTS
You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction management or civil engineering.
To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a General Foreman within Civil Engineering for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company. Your work history should be stable; ideally you should have worked at your previous companies for a number of years.
A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
