As we grow, we're looking to welcome an enthusiastic Optical Receptionist to our friendly team.
About the Role:As our Optical Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of the practice – the first person patients see or speak to when they get in touch. You’ll play a key role in delivering a smooth and caring patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greeting patients and visitors with a warm, professional manner
* Booking and managing appointments via our digital system
* Answering phone and email enquiries efficiently
* Taking payments and handling till operations
* Keeping reception tidy, stocked, and patient-friendly
* Updating and maintaining patient records
* Supporting the optical team with administrative tasks
* Occasionally assisting with frame selection or patient questions
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a receptionist, customer service, or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Confidence using basic computer systems
* Organised, dependable, and detail-oriented
* Friendly, calm, and professional under pressure
* An interest in optics or healthcare is a bonus
Working Hours:Monday to Thursday only – No weekends!We offer a healthy work-life balance with no evening or weekend shifts, making this role ideal for those seeking stability and flexibility.
