At Sky Vigil Care Ltd, we support people to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. We are looking for compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistants to join our growing team. You will mostly work independently in service users homes, delivering unrushed, person-centred care that protects dignity, promotes independence, and enhances wellbeing. Your Key Responsibilities You will: Provide safe, compassionate personal care Follow individual care support plans Support with medication administration Assist with meals, nutrition, and hydration Help with mobility and moving & handling equipment Provide domestic support and light housekeeping Encourage social interaction and companionship Support service users during hospital visits or end-of-life care Record care accurately and report concerns immediately Follow safeguarding and confidentiality policies at all times Mandatory Training & Certifications To ensure safe, high-quality care, you must have or be willing to obtain the following training: Care Certificate (mandatory training) Manual Handling / Moving & Handling Personal Care Training Safeguarding Adults Basic Life Support / First Aid Infection Prevention & Control Medication Administration Training Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) where applicable Mental Capacity Act (MCA) & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Full support and training will be provided where needed. Personal Care Duties Include Bathing, showering, dressing, grooming Toileting and continence care Oral care Using hoists, standing aids, wheelchairs, and other equipment safely Skills, Experience & Abilities Required To succeed in this role, you must: Be kind, patient, and dependable Have excellent communication skills Be able to work alone with confidence Show strong organisation and time management skills Understand the importance of dignity, respect, and safeguarding Be willing to learn and develop Qualifications Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (preferred) Care Certificate (or willingness to complete) Previous care experience is desirable but not essential full training provided Additional Information Community-based role travel between service users homes required May include evening, weekend, and out-of-hours shifts Full UK right to work required Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
