Job Purpose
The Head of Procurement is responsible fordeveloping and delivering the organisation’s procurement strategy acrosssubcontracted services and materials. This role will drive value, compliance,and innovation across the supply chain, ensuring procurement activities alignwith the company’s operational, financial, and sustainability goals
Key Duties
·Develop and implement a group-wide procurementstrategy across direct and indirect spend categories
·Lead and mentor the Procurement Team to deliverstrategic sourcing and category management
·Oversee procurement risk, cost control, andcontract governance
·Build strategic relationships with key suppliersand partners to drive long-term value
·Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, andinternal policy requirements
·Drive digitalisation and efficiency inprocurement systems and processes
·Monitor supplier performance and ensurecontinuous improvement across the supply chain
·Build and manage processes within the team thatfit with the wider business and develop a knowledge base for continuousimprovement
·Directly manage and oversee procurement managersto provide first class internal procurement service to all other departmentsand stakeholders
·Take part in senior leadership meetings andreviews to help deliver the company business plan and strategic milestones.
Skills/Qualifications
·Proven experience in a senior procurementleadership role within a construction or related industry
·Strong background in strategic sourcing,category management, and supplier performance
·Demonstrable ability to influence seniorstakeholders and manage complex supplier relationships
·In-depth knowledge of procurement law andcontract negotiation
·Strong financial and commercial acumen
·Excellent leadership and communication skills
Experience Required
·MCIPS or equivalent procurement qualification(essential)
·Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relatedfield (desirable)
