Maintenance Engineer To assist in day-to-day plant operations, programming machines, validating programs and ensuring production is always supported. The successful candidate will continually improve manufacturing efficiencies by utilising continuous improvement techniques whilst maintaining a high level of quality. The key skills and qualities of a Maintenance Engineer are: Understanding DFM processes. Understanding lean manufacturing techniques. Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP). Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Able to communicate, both within the working group and the organisation. Understanding project management and prioritize multiple projects Candidate skills: Ideally degree educated – electromechanical Able to write programs for a variety of machines Hands on maintenance and problem solving experience Computer literate Experience within manufacturing (non food)
