Job Title: Data Protection Officer (DPO)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional Data Protection Officer (DPO) to join our friendly, committed, and highly regarded Law and Governance Service. The DPO role is a legally mandated requirement, critical in delivering advice with legally binding consequences to the council and schools, and in developing and guiding the organisation's strategy for fostering a data protection culture.
Key Requirements:
1. Expertise in data management and national and European data protection laws, including GDPR and DPA.
2. Possession of one or more technical qualifications in data protection.
3. Ability to work at pace and multitask effectively.
4. Exceptional communication skills to deliver clear advice and build relationships with officers and members.
5. Desirable: prior local government experience.
