The role You will be responsible for delivering high quality work, to develop a complete and dependable competence across the events field and to build productive relationships with relevant colleagues across the firm. An operational level role with ideally some previous admin/organisational experience. Likely to be considering or starting a professional qualification This is a multifaceted role working within the events team and as part of a larger marketing team. The events team is based across the Birmingham, Cambridge, London, Leeds, Manchester and Norwich offices. You'll report to the Events Manager and you'll work closely with the Event Executives/Managers, the Business Development team as well as the wider marketing team to deliver projects which facilitate firm growth. Other key relationships: facilities, IT and executive support services teams. The role requires good project management, administration and communications skills. You will: Provide digital and administration support for the events team Assist senior events team members plan and implement Mills & Reeve client events both online and in person. Utilise the firm's CRM database and email marketing systems to draft/ send invitations and other communications Contribute to events best practice in the firm, and follow it when supporting events Work on event projects as part of the events team with support and guidance from the senior members of the team The person Essential Has good organisational skills Ability to multi-task and be involved in a range of projects Is a proactive thinker Is flexible and professional in their approach to work Confident to work with a range of people, both in person and online Excellent IT skills, and ability to understand new systems quickly Excellent written and spoken communication Desirable Previous working knowledge of using a CRM database Previous working knowledge of an email marketing system Previous working knowledge of using social media in a corporate environment Experience of working in professional services Experience within an events/marketing role The activities Co-ordinating and delivering support for Mills & Reeve events - rooms/venues, facilities, catering, printed materials, technology. Co-ordinating and delivering support for virtual and on site events on behalf of the firm Attending events with the senior members to ensure smooth-running and troubleshoot as required. Some early morning/late evening availability will be required along with travel to other offices and venues. Creating and sending email communications to clients and targets through a range of IT systems. Managing timescales and planning for these mailings. Updating information on the website and posting on behalf of the events team on social media Editing webinar/hybrid recordings post-event, posting on the firm's website and on socials as part of the BD process Manage responses and queries from event delegates, keeping the team leading the event informed and making sure they are prepared on the day.
