Courier Driver Position - Oldham
We are seeking a Courier Driver to operate within the Oldham area, specifically for our NHS Property Services contract.
Position Details:
* Full-time, 47.5 hours per week
* Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
* Hourly Rate: £11.44
Requirements:
* Held a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for at least 12 months
* No more than 6 penalty points
Role Purpose:
To ensure the safe and timely movement of goods and equipment, maintaining high standards of communication with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Responsible for accurate recording of jobs and deliveries, both electronically and on paper.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Conduct courier journeys to various locations as per routes and schedules
2. Complete required digital and manual documentation
3. Maintain communication with the operations office
4. Ensure the security of all items at all times
5. Comply with the Road Traffic Act and relevant legislation
6. Act as a customer contact point during deliveries and relay information accordingly
7. Perform vehicle checks before use and report defects
8. Maintain a courteous attitude towards customers and road users

* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Ability to use a PDA (training provided)
* Clear handwriting
