Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training new team members
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
* Assist in managing kitchen operations during peak service times, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
* Provide leadership and support to the kitchen team, fostering a positive work environment
* Engage with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
* Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques
* Demonstrated supervisory experience and effective team management abilities
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example
* A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development
* Previous experience in high-volume food production is advantageous

Pay: £13.25-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 50 per week
