This role offers the chance to be part of our inclusive and caring team, making a real difference to the lives of our SEND pupils. We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is keen to develop further. The successful candidate will need t to undertake an 18 month apprenticeship to grow into the Assistant SENDCo role. The role will include: Supporting the SENDCo in coordinating provision for pupils with SEND Supporting teachers to design and deliver timely interventions once a need has been identified Working closely with the SENDCO and teachers to ensure support strategies and individual plans are effectively implemented Delivering small group and one-to-one interventions Supporting staff with the implementation of specialist advice Helping to monitor pupil progress and contribute to review meetings Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and external agencies Promoting inclusion and wellbeing across the school We are looking for up to 32.5 hours per week over 5 days, but we are happy to discuss flexibility for the right candidate.
