A respected multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Bangor, North Wales. This role will see you leading a variety of projects ranging from domestic alterations and extensions through to complex commercial developments.
You will play a key role from concept through to completion, ensuring designs are safe, efficient, and delivered to the highest standards. Principal Structural Engineer Job Overview
* Carry out structural design calculations in steel, concrete, timber and masonry (BS & Eurocodes)
* Manage design delivery in line with QMS procedures and design checking protocols
* Lead smaller projects independently or support larger multi-disciplinary schemes
* Work closely with clients, architects, contractors and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Supervise site investigations and undertake structural inspections
* Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
* Prepare fee proposals, tenders, and contribute to business development
* Ensure commercial delivery of projects against deadlines and budgets
Principal Structural Engineer Job Requirements
* Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* 5-7+ years' consultancy experience within the UK market
* Chartered or actively working towards Chartered status (ICE / IStructE)
* Proficient in design software such as Tekla, CADS, Tedds (AutoCAD desirable)
* Strong knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
