Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant
The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant is expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.
They will assist with the daily care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients' own homes. Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers are vital members of teams in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other Healthcare Assistants.
Your duties may include:
* Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
* Assisting with feeding
* Making and changing beds
* Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
* Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
* Helping patients move around
* Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
* Maintaining a tidy ward or patients' homes
* Managing supplies and equipment
Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
