Join to apply for the One Stop - Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Be familiar with customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
* Actively encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, the tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks are completed to meet customers’ needs.
* Put into practice the training received to ensure safe working practices.
* Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about the store’s performance and understand the part you play to deliver profit.
* Be yourself, live the values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
* Ensure you clock in and out at the start and end of your shift for accurate pay.
* Keep yourself, colleagues and customers safe by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products to all customers.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organised store environment with clear aisles.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep yourself, others and the store safe and compliant.
* If applicable (Post Office Local), duties include day-to-day Post Office operations and passing a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check.
