Supply Chain Manager
Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager looking for your next role? Do you have a background in overseeing processing and purchasing? Juice is delighted to be working on a brand-new role in a dynamic and ambitious Wiltshire employer, as they look to increase their operational infrastructure, overseeing both order processing and purchasing teams.
You’ll be tasked with delivering an efficient service whilst scoping out improvements and developing continuous improvement.
Day to Day:
1. Overseeing the order processing team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products alongside industry-leading customer service.
2. Optimizing transportation routes, and coordinating with third-party logistics providers.
3. Leading the purchasing team to ensure the procurement of high-quality materials at competitive prices, whilst developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, together with managing inventory levels.
4. Demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to improve both processes and efficiency across the order processing/logistics and purchasing departments.
5. Leading on recruitment, managing, and mentoring the purchasing and order processing teams.
6. Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
7. Conducting appraisals and providing ongoing training and development.
8. Ensuring that effective records are maintained via the company ERP.
9. Developing and then managing budgets for each of these departments.
10. Evaluating existing suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and cost.
11. Remaining up to date with UK government import rules related to commodity codes and customs duty charges.
12. Staying ahead of legislation changes related to exporting goods.
13. Devising reports on order processing and purchasing performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
We Would Love To See:
1. A background in supply chain management or relevant industry qualification.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant role.
3. Exposure to up-to-date legislation around dangerous goods.
4. Experience with tariffs and international trade.
5. Experience working with ERP frameworks.
6. Good problem-solving skills.
