We are looking for a Learning and Participation Officer to join our team. The role is full time and permanent, working 36 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic person with a passion for heritage and sharing high quality learning opportunities at a wide range of historic sites.

The successful candidate will support, manage and deliver engaging and inclusive curriculum-linked schools' activities for both primary and secondary school groups, through English Heritage's award-winning Discovery Visit and Free Education Visit programmes. You will also deliver special projects for target audiences which may include outreach sessions; training opportunities for teachers; development of resources to support pupils, teachers and young people during taught, self-guided or remote learning experiences.

As Learning and Participation Officer, you will have a range of experience engaging with school aged children and/or young people, delivering inspiring projects and activities.

You will work with site team colleagues and volunteers to deliver learning experiences and activities as well as working with other colleagues and stakeholders to develop bespoke projects and resources. You'll travel regionally across Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall to sites including Tintagel Castle, Pendennis Castle and Farleigh Hungerford Castle.

To be considered as a Learning and Participation Officer, you'll need:

Proven experience in planning and delivering educational or engagement programmes for schools (both primary and secondary) and/or young people.

Experience working with diverse audiences, including young people from underrepresented groups.

Experience of working with volunteers

Experience of working with external partner organisations or schools

Interviews will be held on the week commencing 1st September - on MS Teams.
