Warehouse General Manager - Fulfilment Operations

The Role
Loom Talent are partnering with a venture-backed scale-up entering its next phase of operational expansion. Having achieved exceptional growth, the business is now investing heavily in the physical infrastructure required to support the next stage of scale.
We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse General Manager to lead and evolve a high-volume fulfilment operation. This role will take ownership of the entire site operation and play a critical role in building the systems, processes and leadership capability required to scale to 40,000 orders per day.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building high-performing operations from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
* Leading all on-site operations including dispensing, checking, packing and outbound fulfilment
* Scaling throughput from current volumes to 40,000 daily orders
* Building and developing a high-performing operational team and leadership structure
* Strengthening stock security, inventory integrity and cold-chain processes
* Optimising warehouse layout, workflows and process efficiency
* Ensuring consistent outbound performance through UK parcel carriers such as DPD, Royal Mail and 3PL partners
* Identifying and implementing automation and technology where it improves cost, speed or quality
* Developing systems, dashboards and operating rhythms that enable future multi-site replication
You will bring
* Experience scaling Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain operations handling 10,000+ orders per day
* A track record designing end-to-end warehouse flows from receiving through to dispatch
* Experience leading large operational teams (circa 100 employees) in fast-paced environments
* A strong commercial mindset, with clear focus on cost-per-order, efficiency and ROI
* Experience managing parcel carrier relationships and outbound delivery performance
* Deep understanding of stock control, security and high-value inventory management
* A systems-thinking approach and relentless focus on throughput, accuracy and quality
* A Warehouse General Manager background within regulated sectors such as pharma, healthcare or food
* Warehouse site launch or relocation projects
* Exposure to automation or robotics within fulfilment
* Experience developing operational playbooks for multi-site growth
