What you’ll be doing
as a Programme Manager
1. Ensure that all projects within the sub-portfolio review project closure reports, attend lessons learned workshops and seek to apply relevant learnings.
2. Define and adopt appropriate portfolio and project management methodology and tools based on the project’s context.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication with colleagues and stakeholders to provide updates on the progress and to maintain awareness of business needs and priorities.
4. Proactive identification and management of dependencies – within and outside the project.
5. Responsible for overseeing and supporting the selection of any third-party suppliers.
6. You will work closely with our digital colleagues, supplier and finance teams to optimise project resources and costs. Costs must account for both delivery and run costs. Leading on the development of business cases.
Base location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court Reading

What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
7. Proven expertise in Digital/IT program management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, as well as third-party partnerships
8. Experience of financial management up to £10m per annum
9. Experience with Delivery of IT projects involving the management of third-party suppliers
10. Technical skills such asSAFe Practitioner, Scrum Master or equivalent
11. Experience of working with different delivery methodologies i.e. Agile, Waterfall
12. Stakeholder management skills who is able to work collaboratively and influence a wide range of stakeholders up to and including the executive level
Extra qualities that would be a great fit for our team:
