This will be mutually agreed between the appointee and the Clinical Directors at both DGT and HCRG Care Group after the appointee commences the post. This Job Plan represents the indicative initial weekly programme of work until it is agreed with or without changes between the appointee and the Directorate. The job plan will be tailored to meet the specialist interest and accreditation competencies of the appointee. The job plan will be signed by the Clinical Director and will be effective from the commencement date of the appointment.
The Job Plan will then be reviewed at 3 months, then annually, following an Appraisal Meeting. The Job Plan will be a prospective agreement that sets out a consultants duties, responsibilities and objectives for the coming year. This will cover all aspects of a consultants professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities, and provide a clear schedule of commitments, both internal and external. In addition, it should include personal objectives, and details of the support required by the consultant to fulfil the job plan and the objectives.
