Responsibilities
* Create and Maintain a Stimulating Learning Environment - Design engaging indoor and outdoor play areas that promote curiosity, exploration, and learning, tailored to each child’s stage of development.
* Monitor and Support Children's Progress - Observe, assess, and record children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Use these observations to inform planning and individual support.
* Communicate Effectively with Parents and Carers - Build positive relationships with families by providing regular updates on their child’s progress, discussing concerns, and sharing strategies to support development at home.
* Lead One-to-One and Group Activities - Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences, including storytelling, arts and crafts, sensory play, and early literacy and numeracy sessions, tailored to meet individual needs.
* Support Children’s Personal, Social, and Emotional Development - Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and emotional well-being, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
* Share Ideas for Monthly Topics and Educational Trips - Contribute to planning meetings with creative ideas for monthly learning themes, cultural celebrations, and local outings that enrich children\’s learning experiences.
* Promote Health, Safety, and Safeguarding - Follow safeguarding procedures and risk assessments to ensure the safety and welfare of all children. Report concerns in line with setting policies.
* Collaborate with the Early Years Team - Work closely with colleagues to deliver consistent care and learning opportunities, supporting the daily routine and contributing to team planning and evaluation.
