Training Programme Director – Paediatric Emergency Medicine (Fixed term until 31 March 2027)
Overview
Within NHS England, South East Region, the Thames Valley Local Office is responsible for the planning, development, education and training of the future and current healthcare and public health workforce across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
The role of the Training Programme Director is to work with the Head of School to lead the delivery of a wide range of functions aligned to NHS England’s mandate, with a focus on improving learner supervision, assessment and experience, faculty engagement, and effective educational outcomes, while driving whole‑workforce transformation and developing multi‑professional links.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Head of School to deliver functions aligned to NHS England’s mandate.
* Focus on learner supervision, assessment and experience, and faculty engagement to ensure effective educational outcomes.
* Drive whole workforce transformation and develop multi‑professional links.
Qualifications
* Experienced NHS Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
* Thorough understanding of specialty training across the region.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, able to work effectively as a member of a multi‑professional team.
Employment Details
Fixed term role until 31 March 2027, typically appointed on a secondment basis.
