Advanced Materials R&D Specialist (m/f/d), Glasgow
AMLZ Recruiting, headquartered in Germany, specializes in placing professionals and executives worldwide. Our client, a well-established company near Shanghai, is seeking an Advanced Materials R&D Specialist to join their team, focusing on environmental materials, optical films, and advanced material development.
This position is initially for three years, starting at the end of 2025, with flexible remote work options. On-site work in China is optional, based on mutual agreement. We offer competitive compensation, housing, and family allowances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead research projects in sustainable and biodegradable materials, focusing on alternatives to conventional polymers.
* Assess new materials for sustainability, carbon footprint, and market feasibility.
* Advance research in polyester polymerization, optical film technologies, and innovative resin formulations.
* Develop strategies to integrate sustainable materials into production processes.
* Collaborate with academic and industry partners to enhance knowledge in sustainable materials.
* Contribute to internal knowledge transfer on sustainable material development.
Required Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
* At least 3 years post-doctoral experience in advanced materials R&D.
* Expertise in material sciences with a focus on sustainability.
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques is a plus.
* Familiarity with sustainability assessments and eco-friendly materials.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
