Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our service controller to ensure our equipment is always operational and ready for our customers. Your role will involve:
* Routine Maintenance: Conduct timely and efficient servicing and inspections.
* Issue Identification: Spot potential problems that could affect equipment availability.
* Safety Ambassador: Promote safety for yourself and our customers through your work.
Major Job Functions
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: 75% - Carry out routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines and take routine oil samples.
* Machine Inspection: 20% - Perform visual and mechanical analyses to identify developing issues in systems and components.
* Minor Repairs: 5% - Complete minor repairs and install telematic systems as needed.

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role, and it’s essential that you have held a full driving license for at least 2 years. You will work 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, Monday to Friday, and one Saturday in three at an overtime rate.
Specific Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
* A basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics.
* Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years) or a formal apprenticeship qualification (C&G level 1).
* Health & Safety training is desirable but not essential, as further training will be provided.
