We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team on a 12 month Secondment/Fixed Term. This band 7 post is ideal for a pharmacist looking to start their career in Aseptic Services. The successful candidate will be supported by a dedicated education and training team, ensuring continuous professional development and growth.
The Trust places immense value on its pharmacy team recognising their crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to patients. This is a really exciting opportunity to shape the development of the service at St Richard's Hospital. With early discussions about a centralised Aseptic Unit within Sussex this is a perfect opportunity to be part of this project and shape the service to the Trust.
Please note that if you currently work for another NHS Trust or UHSussex and you are applying to accept this position as a secondment opportunity, before applying you must seek agreement and authorisation from your current Trust/Manager. Secondments can’t be agreed without this approval. If you are unable to gain approval, you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical, technical and administrative tasks, ensuring the safe and effective preparation of SACT medicines. We are committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance for all our staff.
At UHSussex, diversity is our strength, and we want you to feel included to help us always deliver Excellent Care Everywhere, as shown in our Outstanding for Caring CQC rating. Your uniqueness and experiences will be part of our creative and innovative community where everyone is encouraged to succeed. We have a range of staff networks to help break down barriers, and can offer a buddy to help new members settle in. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 3) and a Veteran Aware Trust.
