Houghton Country Ltd is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Retail Store Manager to take ownership of our store and lead from the front.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong equestrian knowledge and solid retail management experience. You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the store, ensuring high standards across staff performance, stock control, and merchandising.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage the daily operation of the retail store
2. Lead, motivate and support store staff
3. Plan and manage staff rotas
4. Oversee stock levels, replenishment and organisation
5. Maintain strong visual merchandising standards
6. Deliver excellent customer service
7. Use equestrian knowledge to assist customers and support sales
8. Help drive store performance and meet business goals
What we are looking for:
9. Previous experience as a Retail Manager or Supervisor
10. Strong equestrian knowledge
11. Proven leadership and team management skills
12. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
13. Experience in stock management and merchandising
14. Customer-focused with a proactive attitude
