Working with some of the world’s best-known companies, as a Service Desk Engineer your primary role will be to manage a support work queue and be responsible for maintenance on the live environment. The Role: Communicate with customers and users via phone and email to troubleshoot and diagnose issues Troubleshoot technical issues using remote tools and gather diagnostic information Writing and updating support cases on a ticketing system Writing and updating feature requests and bug reports for the development team Creating and updating internal documentation and wiki guides Cover emergency / urgent support issues on weekends and bank holidays as part of the on-call rota You Will Have: 2 years of experience working within a support department Great verbal and written communication skills both with customers and other team members Proficient with Microsoft office package Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge, Gateways, Subnet masks, DNS Windows Operating System desktop administration Working experience of SQL statements Desktop administration The ability to work well in a team or as an individual Advantageous but not essential: Experience of IOS operating system Experience of the following: Filezila json formatting TeamViewer Eset AntiVirus Our policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability
