McCarthy Stone Care & Support Assistant Role
McCarthy Stone is recruiting a professional Care & Support Assistant to join our team at Shackleton Place in Devizes, Wiltshire.
Built in 2018, Shackleton Place is a Retirement Living Plus development comprising 55 apartments designed for those over 70, offering excellent on-site facilities within beautiful grounds.
Hourly rate: £12.80 per hour plus up to an additional £1.30 for evening and weekend shifts.
Hours: 18–22 hours per week, depending on your preference.

About the role
As a Care & Support Assistant, you will provide high-quality individual care, supporting residents to live well in later life. Your duties include housekeeping, domestic support, encouraging participation in activities that promote health and wellbeing, assisting with appointments, arranging transport, escorting visits, and shopping assistance. Each day offers diverse opportunities to make a meaningful difference using your people skills.
About you
* A warm, friendly individual, ideally with some experience in care or support roles.
* Passionate about enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
* Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
* Interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector, preferably holding a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Adults), though relevant experience or alternative qualifications will be considered.
