People & Culture Project Support Officer

Location: Pan Wales (base to be chosen on recruitment) – NHS Trust.


Job Summary

Looking to start your career in People & Culture but not sure which path to take? This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to explore different areas within People & Culture and develop a broad understanding of how this vital function supports our organisation.

We are recruiting a People & Culture Project Support Officer to join the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust. In this role, you will have the unique chance to rotate across different teams within the Directorate, gaining hands‑on experience in a variety of areas while building your skills and confidence.

As a key member of the team, you will provide high‑level project and administrative support, helping to plan, coordinate, and deliver initiatives that make a real difference to our people. You will act as the first point of contact for staff, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across the Directorate. Acting as a central point of contact, you will liaise with stakeholders, manage project documentation, and contribute to service improvements.

Person Specification


Essential Qualifications

* Level 4 qualification in a people‑related subject or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects.


Essential Skills & Attributes

* Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
* Can work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.


Desirable Skills

* Advanced IT skills in desktop applications such as Excel, Power BI.
* Welsh language skills (levels 1‑5) desirable.


Essential Experience

* Experience working within a demanding/high‑intensity HR administration setting.
* Experience of successful team working.


Desirable Experience

* Experience in an HR or project management role.
* Experience working with the NHS or other public sector bodies.
