Are you an experiencedHGV Technicianlooking for a fresh challenge in a professional, well-equipped workshop environment?
My client is looking for a skilled and proactive technician to join theirteam to maintain and repair a modern, diverse fleet of heavy goods and commercial vehicles. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – from diagnostics and electrical repairs to fabrication and roadside call-outs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic tools
* Performing bodywork repairs, welding, and fabrication
* Ensuring all vehicles meet compliance and road safety standards
* Supporting junior team members and maintaining a safe, clean workshop
* Attending breakdowns and off-site work when needed
* Participating in a standby rota for out-of-hours cover (as required)
What they're Looking For:
* Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent)in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair –essential
* Proven experience with HGV servicing, diagnostics, and repair
* Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
* Welding/fabrication experience preferred
* Full UK driving licence required
* IRTEC accreditation desirable (or willingness to achieve)
