Job summary
Bolton Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Dietitian - Diabetes Lead for Paediatrics. The role is within the Multidisciplinary Diabetes Team supporting children and young people with diabetes. This is a part-time position (0.8 WTE) at Band 7, covering four days a week.
Main duties of the job
The primary responsibility is to serve as the Dietetic Clinical Lead for Diabetes, operating at an advanced level.
You should be flexible with your working pattern to accommodate the needs of children and families across various settings, including Royal Bolton Hospital, outpatient clinics, GP surgeries, health centres, Start Well Centres, schools, and patient homes. Travel around these sites is required.

Person Specification
Essential
* Experience as a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian working with children, young people, and families in acute or community settings
* Experience in Paediatric Diabetes management
* Ability to travel independently within the area
Desirable
* Masters Module on Diabetes in the Young
* Completion of Band 6 competency framework for Paediatric Dietitians in Paediatric Diabetes (BDA)
* Participation in regional CYP Diabetes Network and regional diabetes dietitians meetings
Communication and MDT working
Essential
* Experience in multidisciplinary team working
* Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
* Membership of BDA, including diabetes sub-group
